Publications
Each year, NC-HCAP supports a wide range of publications focusing on health careers. All of our publications are free. Please contact our office to receive a single copy or to be placed on our mailing list. Click on the thumbnail of a publication if you would like to download the latest issue.

Access
Launched in 1992 as NC-HCAP's official newsletter, Access highlights health careers, health science programs in North Carolina, minority health students and minority practitioner role models, and science enrichment programs for minority or underrepresented students. In addition, it provides health career planning tips, career resources and related Internet site information, and tracks trends in health care and careers in the health sciences. Access is published each Spring and Fall. The latest issue is available online.

DATAline
DATAline is a series of brief statistical reports gauging the presence of minority licensed or certified practitioners in North Carolina in the following fourteen health professions: chiropractors, dental hygienists, dentists, licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, optometrists, pharmacists, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, physicians, physician assistants, psychologists, psychology associates, and registered nurses. A comprehensive overview is also available. Data are provided by the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Population statistics are provided by the US Census Bureau. DATAline is published every two years.
